afmadu - Afmadu;afmadu - Town in the former Italian Somaliland, 100 m. E. of the Kenya border. After severe bombing raids by the South African Air Force, the Italians evacuated the town on Feb. 10, 1941, and fled towards Kismayu. Afmadu was occupied by the King's African Rifles on Feb. 11.
