plagiogeotropism - Orientation of plant part by growth curvature in response to stimulus of gravity so that its axis makes an angle other than a right-angle with the line of gravitational force; exhibited, e.g. by branches of a main root which make an acute angle with the vertical. Also used in a wider sense to mean orientation of an organ so that its axis makes a constant angle with the vertical and including diageotropism as a special type. See also: Geotropism.
